About the Artist

Maria Mosso is a plastic artist, illustrator, writer and dreamer. She currently lives in the beautiful city of Barcelona, ​​in Spain, a city that inspired her in the realization of her most recent work: "The Gardens of Barcelona" (All Rights Reserved & Copyright © 2018 by Maria Mosso), series of paintings composed of several "Gardens", such as "Spring Garden", "Garden of Colors", "Secret Garden" and "Modernist Garden".

For that, the artist developed her own style and technique, based on the modernist and cosmopolitan air that the city offers, but, mainly, for the Catalan modernist architectural style, represented by Antoni Gaudí, famous architect of the twentieth century.
Through Gaudí's works and, mainly, his decorative technique named "trencadis" ("troceado" or "picadillo", in Spanish), a kind of mosaic with irregular pieces of ceramic or tile, is that the artist found inspiration and necessary elements that contributed definitively in the process of creating her relief painting (3D), with its own characteristics and leveraged by the aforementioned technique, resulting in differentiated, light and creative painting that notoriously stands out.
